When do I need a daily licese?

If you don´t have a annual license, which entitles you to participate in all triathlon competitions, you neet a daily license for one day. This license costs € 6,- and has to be paid in connection with the starting money. This fee is delivered to the Austrian Triathlon Federation.

Where is the course? How is he course?

Swim are 2 rounds in the Ritzensee Saalfelden, each 1 km long.
The hilly 80 km long wheel distance leads from the Ritzensee across the Kollingwald to Bsuch. Clockwise you drive to Letting, Niederhaus, Hof and Gerling.  From there it goes past the "Schloss Kammer" to Maishofen.  In Maishofen the route  turns to the federal highway B311.  Before arriving the Club Costa,  the B311 will be left. Afterwards  it  goes downhill to the underpass to Schützing. From Schützing again direction Gerling will be driven, in Gerling will be turned and  it goes on to Bsuch.  Across  Breitenbergham it goes back to the Ritzensee.  You will have to drive this distance 3 times.
From change zone at the Ritzensee Strandbad starts the run across the Rathausplatz, then right to Rain to the change zone. This distance will be run 3 times.  

How are the distances?

half: 2 km swim, 80 km bike, 22 km run

fun: 300 m swim, 13 km bike, 3 km run

team: 300 m swim, 13 km bike, 3 km run

How many participants are expected?

at maximum:

half: 600

fun: 170

team: 60

kids: 150

How are the athlets feed?

Along the race course are built up aid stations. There you get water, coke, iso/energy bars/gel from peeroton and bananas.

In the finish area you get fruits and cakes.

There are no stations for self sufficient.

How are the athlets accomodated?

Our official race hotel is the hotel Saliterhof.

What else gets offered? Where is the finishing line?

The finish area is at the Rathausplatz Saalfelden. The best will finish at about 17:15 pm, the last finisher will pass the line at about 20:00 pm.

We have a program with cheerleader for the atmosphere.

At the area of the swim start is situated our expo area with regional and international companies.

When the last finisher has passed the line, a big party will take place.

Which equipment do I need?

If the temperature of the sea amounts to 22/23 degrees, you need a neoprene suit for the swim. With under 15 degrees the suit is obligated. With temperatures over 23 degrees a neoprene suit is forbidden.

For the half distance we recommend a race bike. If you have a mountainbike we recommend smooth tires. For the fun and team race you can take place with any bike which has 2 indipendent breaks from each other.
